Virginia Predator Prey Project
The Virginia Predator Prey Project is researching the predator-prey dynamics between coyotes, bobcats, white-tailed deer, and now with the help of SCI Foundation, black bears. SCI-MABC, along with other area SCI Chapters, has contributed to the Virginia Predator-Prey Project which is being conducted by the Virginia Department of Fish and Wildlife Conservation along with Virginia Tech. Their aim is to collar black bears and study the impact of white-tail numbers with the growing numbers of bears in the region.
